"Best Left Buried" By Cindy Hutchins Book Review and Giveaway
As many may know, I seldom have time to read for leisure. Actually, I can’t recall the last book other than children books that I have read just because I wanted to sit and read a good book. However I digress, I recently received a copy of “Best Left Buried” by Cindy Hutchins. After finishing up work for the day (generally around 2 to 3 in the morning) I began reading this unknown treasure. After the first few pages, I was hooked causing the next few days to be outrageously late nights (still up when my children rose). It was just that GOOD! If you ever wondered if a persons thoughts could create an evil entity, you definitely need to read this book!
How to Avoid your Email Marketing from going to Spam Folders
Are you losing valuable business and time through your email marketing efforts ending up in peoples spam folders only to be deleted? If you have a real service or product you want noticed, stop throwing your money away on emails that go unnoticed or worse, get you flagged as a spammer.
Today’s time demand wise use of our marketing dollars. Wasting even $10.00 of that can hurt ones bottom line. So why waste it on emails that go to potential customers spam folders?
A wiser investment of your marketing dollars is to utilize article marketing. With informative articles about your product(s) or service(s) will get you far more bang for your buck.
You can go about this a couple ways:
1. Write your own articles rich in keywords that the common customer would use in a search engine to find your product or service. Articles that get the most hits are those that give the reader deeper knowledge on the topic and how to’s. After writing articles, submit them to article distribution/publishing sites. Several article submission sites allow you to submit your articles free and leave links back to your website in your author resource box. Some even allow for links within your articles. You could also use your articles in your blogs. Doing both increases your chances of being noticed on search engines. Variety and amount will get you the best results. How much will this cost you out of your marketing budget? Not a dime, just your time. So what do you do if your writing skills are not up to par or you just do not have the time to give to your own marketing? Well, in either case, you are not the first. Many people who run a business are already swamped with other aspects of managing a business, that finding time to market is next to impossible. That leads me to option two – outsourcing your article marketing needs.
2. Your second option is to outsource your article marketing needs. Of course, we would love it if you outsourced your needs to us, however, we are not oblivious of the many other article writing services out there. Nevertheless, we can offer you high quality original articles targeted to your product(s)/service niche that will be noticed. We can promise you top notch customer service. Your questions will be answered in a very timely fashion. In addition, we are happy to help our customers brainstorm ideas that will help benefit their business regardless if we get anything out of it or not. We always aim to have 100% customer satisfaction! We are staffed with 100% U.S. writers that have extensive backgrounds in SEO writing and marketing. There are not too many topics we can’t write about but if we come across one that may cause us difficulties, we will say so upfront rather then pretend we can offer you exceptional quality articles and refer you to someone who may.
Articles will give you the opportunity to tell the whole story about your product(s) or service(s). It will give you the opportunity to highlight what makes it unique. It is a great opportunity to address the benefits your product/service has to offer. It gives you a chance to explain how your product works or how your services can enhance one’s life or business. There are so many stories to be told about your products/services that are being lost in spam folders or not fully told.
Emails only work if they are being read. Even if your email doesn’t end up in a reader’s spam folder, if it is not being opened by someone interested in your product or timed right for the individuals needs, it will be deleted nonetheless, just as if it were spam. So get your word/product/service out there for those who are interested through article marketing. Give people a chance to find you and become your next customer.
Facebook Fanpage Etiquette
A Facebook Fanpage is a great way to network and ultimately attract potential clients but it can also be a place where you drive those same potentials away. When creating a fanpage the creators first thought is “How can I get as many fans as possible?” Everyone wants to have a lot of people who“Like” what they are offering however there is no real overnight growth like that holds truly potential clients or customers. There are FanPages that you see grow overnight such as Get 10,000 Fans. They are great and even great resources for making some connections, but having that mass growth over night like that on a business or niche type fanpage is not a reality. Building a solid fan base takes time but there are some aspects of FanPages such as Get 10,000 Fans that are beneficial if used wisely. Fanpages that allow you to promote your fanpage are great in starting a base fanbase so your page does look more appealing to others who come across it. Utilize those pages by “liking" their page and dropping a comment with a link back to your fanpage. You will receive some followers by doing so; however, do not become a nuisance on these pages. What I mean by that is don’t get crazy posting a link to your fanpage daily on their pages. This makes you look bad and are likely to be blocked. Here are a few FanPages that I have come across where we were well received and we did pick up some likes: Mommy Link – Promote your Page These are just a few I have came across without really doing any sort of search which tells me if I put even a little effort into it I could find tons more. But again, be courteous, don’t spam their pages, and also make sure to share their generosity by giving them a shout out on your own page.
Facebook Overload
Many Social Media Management companies offer 8 and even sometimes more Facebook updates in their social media packages, as we do as well. Nevertheless, although we will give the client what they want to a degree, unless we feel it would not be in their best interest, we really do not recommend that many updates on your Facebook fanpage. You will see many FanPages out there being updated by Twitter as well as the administrators 8 or more times a day. What happens to those updates? Do you really think they are being read or well received? If you think they are, you are sadly mistaken. FanPages that have massive updates daily end up being put on “hide”status of those who have “Liked” the page. Most people initial reason for getting on Facebook is for the social aspect and not shopping around for services or products; that is secondary. To be most effective in utilizing your fanpage follow these few easy courtesies: A great rule of thumb is, if on your fanpage wall you see the same update more then once, it has been posted too frequently. Keep your wall fresh. Think of it as changing your clothes. You wouldn’t put on the same clothes you wore the day before unless they went through the wash cycle right. So don’t post the same update unless it has been buried on your wall. Remember, your fans can and will complain if they feel you are spamming them and to many, spamming can merely mean annoying the hell out of them with excessive updates. It really isn’t worth losing your page over!
Facebook Fan Pages, Numbers, and the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction belief is simple – ‘similar attracts similar’ and ‘thoughts control outcome’. This is true in all aspects of life, from personal to business.
For example… if one continues to think their life is heading nowhere, the likelihood of that being a reality is quite high! Everyone has known a person who dwells in sorrow and never really accomplishes anything. Everyone knows a person that has that personality that there is nothing out of reach. Those are the people who attain great things in their lives. Itis easy to see how the Law of Attraction applies to all aspects of life – but can one really merely think good things to happen and waa la! they happen? Unless they have a genie in their pocket, no way!
Everything in life takes time, and this also applies to the law of attraction belief. The positive thought helps to put the plan into action, but there is still work involved no matter what the thought is. A person can’t just think themselves into a doctors coat with a PHD behind their name. That is no more true then me sitting here thinking you all into “Liking” our Fanpage or hiring our services. We all wish it could be that easy; myself included! We all actively have to take the necessary steps to achieve that goal.
So how do we go about building our business on the internet with the application of Law of Attraction? Of course, a positive attitude is essential. We all have those days were we constantly double guess ourselves, check our “stats” and wonder why our numbers are not going up fast enough – what more do we have to do- and if we are even cut out to be a business person. If we stay in that line of thought, then yes, we need to close up shop before we bury ourselves! And since you are reading this, that tells me right off that you are not a quitter, and that is the power of positive thought. Positive thought, no matter if you are having a double guessing day, draws you to seek more knowledge to find out different ways to improve on what you already have.
How can you use the Law of Attraction to help build a larger customer base? Let’s face it… no matter what, it is going to take time. Success isn’t built overnight no matter how much we “think” it to be. Let’s look at Facebook Fanpages for an example. You can sleep, eat, and drink thoughts of everyone liking your fanpage, but it’s not going to happen! You can hire people that promise to “gain you Likes” but seriously, the percentage of those that do “like” your page are doing so because they are spambot pages (fake profiles built up by such agencies promising the “Likes”;) and no sells are ever gained by them. Sure, you might get the numbers and appear to be a happening fanpage, but they are not “real” people working those profiles. So basically, you are throwing good money away. That is where the similar attracts similar and personality will gain you far more then any amount of money you put into your fanpage. You can have a fancy landing page, but that doesn’t mean you will get the traffic you are seeking if people do not know you exists. In order to gain more “Likes” on your fanpage you cannot be afraid to network. You cannot be afraid to reach out. You actually have to work your page, post the status updates that draw conversation and respond to comments. That is just one of the things you can do to start drawing the likes from the traffic that has the interest in your niche! If you don’t have the time to do that yourself, then hire someone to manage your fanpage. Make sure it is someone you can trust to respond professionally, create the status updates that get attention, and keep your page active and alive! That is just one of the many services we at Article Write Up offers. We understand not everyone has time to sit on Facebook all day while still tending to other business matters. Remember, a positive attitude will go a long ways, but with all things great, there is time, work, and commitment involved!
What methods have you used to try to draw more “Likes” to your Fanpage and what were the outcomes? Have you tried contests? What kinds? And please, leave us your fanpage link so we can check you out!
